ParticipantI have an intermittent ‘Check waterlight’ fault where the machine starts the cycle and does not complete full wash (the tablet is only partially dissolved and the pump runs on. I have tried the following: –
1. Replaced the inlet valve – this worked for a no more than 5-6 loads.
2. Tipping the machine to the left a few times. This had the same result as above.
3. Removing and cleaning the float (including the polystyrene float). There was some gunge around them but not a lot. this also worked for about 5-6 loads.
4. I tried re-setting the machine and doing a quick wash and then rinse only cycle but the machine did not fill in either instance although the ‘check water’ light was not on. I then moved the machine out in order to check that there was power to the inlet valve and started the machine again on the quick wash program and it filled with water and appeared to complete the wash cycle but the countdown display stopped at ‘1’ and the pump continued to run for about 10 minutes before i manually switched the machine off.
I have read somewhere that the impeller jug can sometimes be faulty.
Is this the most likely cause or is there anything else I should check / clean before shelling out for a replacement jug?
Apologies if this is long winded but I think I have tried most common remedies listed on the various forums. I hope somebody can help.

Hi,
Since posting the question & prior to seeing your response I tried the machine again on a quick wash cycle, the machine completed the cycle, the timer counted down to 0, the ‘pump’ ran on for about 8- 10 minutes before switching off, and then after another 10 minutes the pump started again an ran previously. This sequence repeated itself again until I switched the machine off. I have read elsewhere that some models have problems with the control PCB? Could this be at fault as well?

Two faults for the price of one you mean? Can’t rule any possibility out I suppose but my earlier advice might hold you in good stead all the same. 😉

Hi,
I have replaced the impeller jug but this does not appear to be the solution: –
1. once jug was replaced machine almost completed quick wash cycle – timer counted down to 1 then just ‘hummed’ for several minutes. I opened the door, closed it time changed to 2 and then 1 and machine continued to hum. until manually swithed off.
2. Tried to wash a load of dishes on ECO program machine functioned ok for a while but check water light came on with approx 40 minutes to go.
3. Tried to run a quick wash program but machine just ‘hums’ and no power to inlet valve.
What should I check next?

As you are a TRADE member, why not ask that question in Trade Technical? This is a public forum.
