ParticipantHello
I have had this dishwasher some time and it has recently started to take longer and longer to complete a full cycle on any wash program. Today the ‘check water’ light came on and the machine is stuck on a cycle with 20 minutes displayed on the timer.
It appears to be filling through the side inlet at the bottom until it is almost leaking from the door and then the pumps kicks in to drain it. I let it repeat this cycle for a further 25 minutes and then switched it off.
I have read in another thread/post that it could be the impeller jug, is this a good starting point or are there other possibilities or checks I can make first?
Thank you for any help.
Silver.

Hi
The Fill Metering Device/Jug does sound to the most likely conclusion. Try unplugging the connector to it and plugging it in again to make a better connection first. Dont forget to unplug the appliance from the mains before you work on it.December 31, 2013 at 5:23 pm #406950TlbSilver

I’ve had a chance to look at the dishwasher today and have checked the connection on the metering device. It all looks normal, the device is spinning freely with little noise or vibration. Is there an electrical check that can be performed on this part to check its functioning properly.
Thanks.

No point in messing with the impellor jug as they wear very quickly. Replace it, job done!

Thanks for the reply. I’ve ordered a new one and will report back once it’s fitted.

Changed the Impellor jug and it’s 28 minutes into a 30 minute program. It all seems to be working as it should and the elapsed time matches the program time. For any other amateurs or novices, It’s a simple job to change on these machines and I think all you could possibly do wrong it put it in the wrong way around. It has a very small arrow on the plastic and I just replaced with this pointing the same direction. I don’t know, but assumed the arrow was direction of flow.
Thanks for the help. 😀 -
