I’m trying to replace the shock absorbers on our Bosch classixx 1400 washing machine (model number wae28162gb/03). There are loads of videos online but none are like ours. I’ve undone the end with the bolt without a problem but the other end is a plastic pin which I can’t seem to get out. The head end is recessed without any obvious way to get to it and the pointed end doesn’t have any locking tab that I can detect. Any suggestions please?

I take it that you didn’t purchase the genuine ‘Shock Absorber + Connecting Kit’ (part no. 00448032)…?? Which has all you need together with instruction leaflet on doing the job.

To remove the plastic pins do as shown (below) in part of those instructions.

Thanks Martin- I don’t yet have the new ones, I was trying to make sure I could get the old ones out first!
