Bosch Combi – Loud Buzzing and MW always on when door closed

Good afternoon all,

I wanted to post this in the trade section but I don’t yet have access.

I’m the newish (3 years) owner of an independent shop and am still finding my feet with some repairs, Combi ovens being one of them as we just don’t see very many.
I’ve got a problem with a Bosch Serie 6 Combi (HBC84H501B/36) which is making an awful buzzing noise at all times when the door is closed, in addition the Mag is warm to the touch after the machine has been powered for just a minute.

My initial assumption was that the Transformer is at fault, but I couldn’t convince myself that a bad Transformer would run the Mag at all times; when the door is closed.

I’ll attach a video shortly of the noise.

Take a punt on it being the Transformer? Or is it likely to be something else?

sounds like a shorted relay on the control board energising the transformer

find out which relay controls the microwave and test with a multimeter for short circuits
