ParticipantHello and apologies if this has been listed before but i have searched through and have been unable to find anything similar. Essentially, our dryer (after a very easy life for 3 years) has started leaking water everywhere at random times during its cycle. Currently i have it in my workshop with the sides off and have been running it whilst trying to keep an eye on it. I have now worked out where the water is coming from but i have no idea how to resolve this! The water spurts up from the top of the tube thats being fed from underneath the tray. It ‘usually’ does this in the last 20-30mins of its cycle but last week it did it right at the start so i can only assume the water has nowhere to go. The main plastic block underneath that is fed by the tube appears to be sealed so without completely stripping it down i dont see an easy way of getting inside. Please help as i need this out of my workshop asap!!
Thanks in advance
edit, ive just tried to attach a photo but with 19.5kb limit i cant seem to do it.
edit again. The tube is part 0522 in this diagram:

Moderatorfrom what i can see you have one of the models with the self cleaning condenser. if yes am assuming that when it leats the water out from the draw to wash the condenser it leaks then
if yes i would say its a complete strip and clean

ParticipantThanks Dave, that sounds like a big job…….what exactly is in the condenser to cause this though?

Moderatorbottom left hand side
never had one in bits but seen one or 2 to work on
what i am assuming is happening is this
on the model you have the condensor is cleaned automatically. to do this the water from the draw at the top is cascaded to rinse off the fluff. This water is then pumped back up into the draw. i am assuming the regular channels where this water is supposed to go must be blocked in some way

ParticipantIve had another look at this and without removing the drum, i cant see how i can get access to all the clips and screws. Does anyone know how this is actually done? can i just the bottom section out without dismantling the whole thing?

Moderatorif its anything like the older models is not too bad a job to take the sides off. the left one is more of a strip down
i get the impression you may well have to strip it down more then this as i suspect the drum would need to be removed
be carefull of the heat pump and tubing because if thats damaged its scrap
