ParticipantHi. Model number Classix 7 condenser dryer, the actual enr number label is missing!
Symptoms; swt on mains start light flashes, sensor touch button type starts runs for either 10 secs or 1 minute then dies no lights, no nothing, no go. Fuse ok, socket ok, tried different socket too!
Things that might help: if the plug is swt`d on and without touching the start button to start the machine this button light with go out all by itself after about 8 secs. To begin with I thought the t/d might be over heating, but not so as I disconnected the purple heater wires at the connector block end, still the same fault. Tried door m/swt screwdriver trick but still the same.
Conclusion: pcboard? And without enr model number I`m stuck. Had a look at pcb but looks visually ok. anyone got any ideas and which capacitor (?) has snuffed it?September 18, 2016 at 7:50 am #441053Martin

Did you look around the back?

Hi Martin.
Alas I looked at the back, front, door, base even but the model number is gone only finding an incomplete sticky label on the front of the front panel just below the door`s porthole; illegible at best. I may now be up the creek without a paddle on this one but if anyone has got any ideas based on the info I provided based soley on their experience, of which I have very little on these Bosch tumble dryers, that may well prove to be helpful. When the tumble dryer stops there are no flashing neon lights; there`s nothing.
I`ve had Bosch t/dryers flash up a f/code before but never have had one go wrong with the symptoms as noted.September 19, 2016 at 7:00 am #441055Martin

Someone who took the trouble to deface and/or remove the ID labels clearly didn’t want anyone else to fix it. Obviously the control PCB has failed and unless you can identify and replace the failed components on the board there will be little choice but to throw in the towel*.
(*ideally in a replacement dryer 😉 )

sounds like the power supply chip may have failed. my thought are this board will probably use a switch mode power supply and this is controlled by a small 7 leg integrated circuit. these chips are cheap so its an easy try it and see repair
dont know which chip is fitted to your board but look and google images for LNK364PN and you will see the type of chip you are looking forDave

Thanks Dave and Martin. Will give it a go as there`s not much option left. `Project Bosch`:to boldly go where several thousand have no-doubt been before`.
I`ll let you know the outcome. Hopefully he`s still got it and hasn`t chucked it, me thinks better text him pronto!October 10, 2016 at 8:02 pm #4410581totalshambles

Blimey I forgot the damn up-date.
Spot on everyone it was the pcb. Sent it away for repair because of desoldering the power chip thingy looked difficult given the tools available.
All groovy now, thanks for your help. -
