We have a BOSCH built in dishwasher model SHV55M03GB/73 and it went dead on us. I checked and there is 240V going to the dishwasher main switch okay but there is only about 150V going to the CONTROL UNIT. Can anyone tell me if this is the normal voltage going to the CONTROL UNIT or should it be 240V ??
although i do not know this exact machine i think it unlikely bosch would design a programmer to work on 150v. if they did there would have to be a dropper of some kind to bring the voltage down from 240. this would have to be a seperate pcb or integrated in the timer
best solution is to use a low voltage buzzer and with the plug out trace the wiring to the timer
There is a voltage rectifier circuit within the main control module though what the voltages are throughout the circuitry I have no idea. Failure of this is commonplace and the only cure as far as I am concerned is to replace the control module. If however you are proficient in electronic circuitry and it’s potential repair, perhaps you would be able to tell us what the cure is? 🙂
Thanks Dave & Martin, I was concerned that the voltage should be 240V to the Control Unit and that there is a fault elsewhere in the Dishwasher dragging the Control Unit suppply voltage down to approx. 150V as I disconnected the voltage supply plug on the Control Unit to check voltage going to it.
I HAVEN’T HAD A CHANCE YET TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER.
Thanks again for your help
