Bosch Cooker Hood Lights not working and fan limited

Hi,
Bosch cooker hood has stopped working. Bulbs wont come on even though they tested ok with a multimeter. The fan up and fan down buttons dont do anything, but the fan max button takes it to fan level 1. IT all used to work fine a little while ago.

I guess it is the switch and control board behind the buttons which is knackered – I found a genuine replacement part for £197 !!!

a) before I fork out £200, is this the likely solution – any views ?
b) from experience, is this this good money after bad – I guess it is about 10 years old – are other bits going to start breaking, or is this a common enough fault that isnt an indication its on its last legs. ?

I just got my backside severely slapped with one of these !
Assuming yours is controlled by a module which is likely then
I would not recommend buying the part / module yourself in case motor has caused the fault initially and zaps new module ( speaking from experience here !!)
Get BSH to do it or better replace whole Extractor is my shout
