ParticipantSGV53E03GB/56 fully integrated with aquastop under the sink unit. Symptoms: – Switch on , select programme, prog LED lights OK, shut door….No drain pump activation, nothing other than the module clicking every second or so and at the same time so too the aquastop valve just clicks in unison. Reset programme, again just clicks for 60 secs then turns off! 😕
5 year old machine, only been used in anger about a dozen times in that time as the property has been empty for best part of those years. Full inspection of the all internals and it is immaculate in all departments. No sign of trouble with the electronics either (no surface damage, plug-ins just fine) No damp, no rodent damage either.
I’m stumped on this and no mistake.
Any thoughts guys please! 🙂

Hi
Went to a Seimens DW doing the same thing could not find the fault, then customer found she had an insurance policy on this machine so I told her to contact them for repair. Have not heard back from her yet to say what the fault was.

Oh joy, I’m wearing the office carpet out pacing up and down over this one…..can anyone offer a faint glimmer of hope, any guiding stars out there?

Im sorry Martin I’ve been thinking, really thinking.
Strange fault as you are fully aware. I’ve never had this fault or even similar.Totally dead yes. (Blown component on board due to heater or divertor.)
Are you willing to risk a module? (£92 a POP.)
Or why not advise of costs & refer them to use Bosch’s under 6 years all inclusive repair plan. I think its £14 per month for 12 months.
😕

Had this on a dishwasher quite some time ago and I seem to remember the fault being a capacitor was leaking on the recirculation pump.. That may give you a lead to the one you are doing.

What George said has jogged my brain. Could possibly be a capacitor gone down on the board. IIRC, they don’t like laying idle for years on end. Obviously check the easy one on the motor first.
QER.biz might be able to repair board.
Mike.
“It is recommended that the leakage current be checked
for conformance to the specified limit if the capacitor has
been stored for four years or more.” panasonicDecember 8, 2010 at 8:26 am #337998Martin

Well I’ve quoted for fitting a module and an aquastop assy (if that too is required?) so will see what the landlord reckons to that idea first methinks.

That’s a new one on me I must admit.

I can’t rule that out either, in fact I’m pretty sure it is the board at fault but I was kinda hoping one of the BSH guys had come across the fault before and could confirm my suspicions. 🙂

UPDATE and I’m pleased to report the problem was eventually solved by me changing the Module (442394).:D
