ModeratorNot been out to this yet so no model number etc. They phoned me before Christmas to say it was leaking and not emptying. I advised them to check the drain pump impellor and they found some obstructions, machine then worked fine for a couple of weeks.
Now reporting a leak and also ‘CHECK WATER’ light coming on.
Soooooooooooooo… can the impellor jug cause an overfill as well as the ‘check water light’ fault?

What ARE you like Jim? No model no? Is it this is it that? Youv’e spoken TWICE to your customer now and still no number. :rolls:
First thing I would wish to know is if their machine actually has an impellor jug? Outside of that info forthcoming then I’d go for a drain out issue or flooded base, or both…….. 😕
HTH? 😀

Doesn’t “check water” mean not filling fast enough? So probably the inlet hose is dripping and leading to their expensive kitchen units getting all soggy over Christmas while Jim’s too busy rushing around keeping his precious 95 series collection in order to even have time to ask for a model number 😀 .

OK.
Enr SGS45C02GB/02 FD 8708.
It does have an impellor jug but until tomorrow I won’t have so couldn’t try it. 🙁
From the description of the leak it would suggest an overfill.
Set it on and it started to fill but did seem to be filling for quite while, then fill stops and the drain pump kicked in for a couple of seconds, then back to fill, then drain. It kept up this sequence until I stopped it, no main motor action.
Drains out perfectly and base is bone dry.
With that I gently lob the ball back into your side of the court Martin. 😀

Yeah it’s actually a common fault on these.

Hi,
We’ve got a problem with a Bosch SGS45C02GB/09. At first the ‘check water’ light was on and the machine kept filling and emptying in a constant cycle.
We replaced the impeller jug (as advised everywhere on this forum) and also the ‘water inlet’ part no 434477 as it was clogged up with gunge. Now the appliance drains, fills and fails to count down the remaining time. Could anything else be causing the problem? The ‘check water’ light now intermittently shows.

After it fills does it then start to wash OK? If so, does it heat?
