    Model SGS5302/GB/07…FD7711

Switched on and F appears in display and drain pump runs.

Fill valve OK, all internals perfectly clean, not a sign of gunge anywhere.

She said that the programme option buttons have been failing one by one for the past few months. Now only Normal & Eco buttons seem to have any effect and that is only lighting up the light above the button, nothing else.

Pressing and holding down Intensive & Eco has no effect, it is impossible to reset or clear the display.

Thinking that the PCB is goosed, any other ideas?

    Jim.

More than likely due to the plastic contacts broken off the module housing (Pt No: 294946) I would imagine? New housing should at least re-establish all the programme buttons again. Testing the module outside of the door panel fairly easy to check with door shut and switched on and resetting may cure the error?

F in the display relates to a fill problem, I think? But not sure as I’ve never come across it before – sorry. 🙁

F is normally a flooded base, or overfill s/w sticking.

When the base is drained it will take a while for the F to disappear, just set it away and it will go (honest) 8)

First thing I thought of, base is bone dry (honest) 😉

Float switch is perfect as well.

Its hard to believe this machine is 11 years old, it is so clean inside the whole of the water inlet side is like new.
