ParticipantCan anyone help me with the test procedure and fault codes for a Bosch dishwasher E nr SGS 5312GB/12?
So far as I know you hold in buttons 1 nd 3 whilst you power up, then press them again to start the test procedure, and the code comes up in the LED window – or have I got this wrong?
(This machine however will not run the test prog. as above, plus the rinseaid and salt indicators stay lit. It will not start on any prog.)Thanks

I’m not aware of any test procedure on this model?
Reset programme by switching on first THEN press and hold buttons 1 & 3 together for 3 seconds. The display should show “0” and the drain pump operate for 60 seconds before it switches off.
If none of the above happens, then chances are the module is duff (look for burnt relay terminal on PCB = dead giveaway!)

I know on the SGS5302 (and others) that if you power up whilst holding down 1 and 3 buttons (lights will flash) and then press these buttons again it will run thro a test pgm of all functions and if any errors it will end the test pgm with a number on the display – I think the famous burned-out heater relay connection (on the board) was a number one.
I have lost my original notes on this, given to me by BSH when they were helpful (unlike now, when they refuse to talk to you, quoting “health and safety dirrectives” – bah humbug!!)
I remember that having both rinsaid and salt warning lights on (both items have been refilled BTW) was a fault indication…
The machine will not start (can’t even hear it open the water valve, and the water supply is OK).

TBH I don’t even bother with test progs on dishwashers. Just stick it on a quickwash (takes about the same time as test prog anyway) and see what happens.
Sounds like a module or a flooded base to me.

Sounds as though they are they similar to the Hotpoint (Bosch) DWF30/31/60 & 61 test procedures.

Hi
Trust me there are none.
Only settings are to cancel and to set water hardness.Greg
