Hi. I have problems with this dishwasher in which the lower spray arm is not rotating. it was blocked but i believe the diverter valve or pcb is faulty. It seems to only be rotating the upper spray arm… water is coming out of the lower one but not at enough pressure??? is it more likely to be a diverter valve problem or pcb?? i think i can hear the pcb relays clicking quite a bit during cycle?

Diverters jam and break. Cycle time approx 50 seconds. If it hasn’t got a power supply, it’s the board. If it has and it don’t cycle, it’s heater box time.

By far the easiest/quickest test is to lift the top spray pipe from the heater box cover. If you can rotate the diverter cam with a small screwdriver its drive gear has become disengaged. The most common failing on these and new Heater unit required.

The other ‘water point’, but less common, failing is that the gearing grey rubber water seal leaks into the drive motor and either floods the base, blows the module up or both! 😉

thanks alot guys!! i suspect jamed diverter then.. i did remove the grey ducting i tried pushing the diverter round but was so stiff didnt wanna break it… so i guess this is the problem… will give it ago. Thanks again.

The hose from matrix to sump getting gunged up can also have this effect.

Edit: But then again it probably wouldn’t turn the top one either.
