Bosch D/washer SMS50T22GB/28 ‘Check Water’ Lit At 2nd Fill?

Hi,
Machine is 3yrs old and already the polynox seal is showing signs of breaking down but deffo no water going into base.

On ‘Quick Wash’ it fills ok, heats ok, then at the end of the wash period empties water out (pump doesn’t seem to be in operation for long). When filling for the rinse it continues for about 30 secs then ‘check water’ light comes on and machine stops with water left in.

This happens every time and occurs on longer washes, the customer informs me.

To recap, the machine will fill, empty, heat, dispense and after reset will start the program ok. But in a program stops after 30 secs into rinse fill.

Any insights would be helpful.

Also can you get the fill chamber switch as a seperate part?

Yes a new reed switch is 00611317

Are you also indicating that fitting the reed switch may well resolve the problem?

Not exactly no. After 3 yrs the drain pump may well be a caution also. Filling/draining issues of this nature can be frustrating to say the least. The reed switch would mainly cause filling issues and the pump of cause draining probs.

Nothing but a pain these bl@@dy machines in my book!

I thought it was just me! They’re now officially the one machine I hate working on and we’re going to see so many of them. Why have Bosch gone down this road, crazy…

Took this one out a few weeks back, put in a full metal model!!

Really poor.

What do folk think are decent dishwashers or washing machines to suply to customers?

The ful metal models shot up in price.
