    Hello all,

I am trying to find out if my PCB is bust, as the machine just runs as normal without getting hot with no error codes. I am only getting 100 v to the Heat pump I have written the resistances i get across the element and what i think is the NTC sensor on the photo and they seem ok, i think?

Should I be getting 230v at the heat pump or should i be looking else where for the fault?

    Any help much appreciated.

dont know the whole story with these but
the heater will be the 2 red wires. bit worried about your resistance reading as with 18 ohms and a 230v supply give you a current of 12.7 amps which is too high. the other wires should feed the motor which is a 3 phase unit and may well work on 100 volts i dont know
double check the heater continuity if ok its something else

Just re-check it with a calibrated Fluke from work and it is defo 18.5 ohms.

Just done some more checks, the voltage at the heat pump when connected is only 24v but when disconnected the voltage rises to 120v. So it could be a short across the element as both cables read 24v when connected to the pump.

But surely the feed to the heater must be 230v?

Well not to sure what i have done but it is now working again. I stripped the bottom and then stripped down the heat pump checked the control module for any obvious signs of damage then put it all back together. Then de-greased the condensation/fill assembly thing on the left hand side.

    Lets hope it keeps going!!!
