Bosch Dishwasher banging the water pipes

I have a Bosch Integrated dishwasher SVG5613GB/22 the problem i have is on water fill the red float in the pressure chamber activates and causes the pipes to bang in the house , i have cleaned the transfer pipe from the chamber to the sump and i still have the problem anybody on here have any ideas what the problem is .

Ensure the pressure chamber is totally clear and the red float does not have any muck build up in it, also the tube between the pressure hose and sump. The reason your getting the sound is that the pressure is building up and activating the overflow. If the metering tank is dirty you might want to take it off and flush it out

Ok
The matrix on the left of the unit looks discolured in the top left hand corner may be some sort of build up could this be an issue if so how do i clean it any ideas

I take it off fully and give it a good rinse out usually

In a word, no, and often as not never causes any problems and certainly not the banging water pipes issue. The problem is a water inlet problem whereas the gunge you see in that matrix is from the drain discharge side. Though it can be cleaned with a great deal of effort by soaking it with bleach cleaner and hot water.

The banging pipes issue cured usually by cleaning the pressure chamber unit and its transfer tube into the sump. 😉

Pressure chamber now cleaned out of limescale, now functiong without banging of pipes
However it,s now leaking water in the base i suspect the o rings need replacing 😀

Remove and reseat the O rings first (turn them over) then refit water matrix and pressure chamber carefully should resolve the problem. 😉
