ParticipantHey,
I’ve had a Bosch Dishwasher for about 12 year. Been amazingly good and long lasting but the last two washes haven’t completed. There was water in the base and the fuse had gone. When I replaced the fuse it again didn’t complete the cycle left a residual like rinse aid type stuff on the plates and cups and the fuse had gone.

go here
http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/spareparts/search
go to page 5 of the parts breakdownitem 510 is the suppressor remove it and look for crack and signs of failure
there are not many items in a modern dishwasher that will blow a fuse and the programmer will survive. you are blowing a fuse and not the house rcd are you
it is the fuse in the plug that keeps blowing isn’t it and if it is you are using 13a fuses and not 3a by mistake

Yeah it is the fuse in the plug. I replaced it with a 13a and it still blew.
I can check this other part when I get home tonight. I was suggested a power supply problem?

We removed the power supply. It appears to be fine, no cracks or black marks. How do I remove the earth live and neutral as they appear to be crimped on there?

If the suppressor is ok the problem is not there but I can’t think of anywhere else it will be as short circuits live to neutral are rare as most faults go to earth and blow RCD

Thank you so much. We were looking at £300 for a new one and thanks to you guys. It has cost £35 new power cable!
Again, thank you so much for helping me. It is very appreciated. I’ll put a donation in our works charity pot.April 25, 2017 at 8:45 pm #447081electrofix
