Bosch dishwasher cutting out in mid-cycle

Our Bosch Exxcel SGS43A12G Exxcel auto-option dishwasher has taken to cutting out in mid cycle. The display lights go out and all washing action stops. This usually happens near the beginning of the cycle. Opening the door and closing it again usually triggers it to start again from where it left off. I have checked that it is not the microswitch on the door opener, and I suspect that it may be a component in the electronic board behind the display. I don’t think it’s economical to replace the board (machine is 5 years old) but I don’t want to scrap the dishwasher if I can get hold of a board from another source, maybe if anyone is scrapping their machine. Any thoughts on this problem would be very gratefully received.

check and make sure the plug is not stuck to the rear of the machine… when it heats the plug pulls out the socket on the wall
