Bosch Dishwasher Door Latch

Hello,

Can anyone advise on a doorlatch that will not close.

I have removed the front panel and can activate manually the latch but it needs significant force to close it. It almost seems as though the spring has compressed too far and does not provide enough force to force overthe latch into the plate…is there ant adjustment what do I replace?

This is may sound stupid, but only time I had problem with bosch door latch is when basket was in wrong way.

Model would help also as latches vary

Rod…the latches are not adjustable themselves, if there is a problem with it then it needs replacing as an assembly. Sometimes mis-alignment between door and cabinet can cause problems too.
If you post the model number (top edge of door or underneath front edge of worktop) then more specific advice might can be given.

Hello,

The model No is – S5N27B – SMS4472GB/20

THere is definetly nothing restricting the doors from closing ie: tray.

It appears that the ‘Latch key’ on the body of the D/Washer, does not push against the latch ‘jaws’ sufficiently . This movement which is activated like a cam forces the jaws to close and hold the door in place…as clear as mud!!!

Any ideas???

You will find that the Door Latch Assembly (Part No: 056218) has broken and will need replacing. Available directly from Bosch http://www.bshappliancecare.co.uk

…but do just check first that the metal latch on the cabinet hasn’t simply moved/come loose!
