Participantive just fitted a new BOSCH SGI45E12GB semi-intergrated dishwasher and the only thing im confused by and cant get to work is the weighting of the door. right now the door lings itself shut very fast and doesn’t stay open unless you hold it open (even with the tray pulled out)..
there are two screws (bottom left and right) that i think have something to do with weighting the door correctly but ive played around turning them left and right and it doesnt seem to make any difference… anyone got any tips on how to sort this out?
also, anyone know why these doors dont come weighted to some sort of average? nobody would ever want them the way they were set…
thanks

Hi WOB
Those screws left and right in the base corners are the only way to tension the door springs. Turning these will tension the respective tensions of each side.Greg

Does your dishwasher have a decor door and is it fitted ? Without the weight of the fitted outer decor door , you will get a very strong door return which eases when the decor door is fitted

Hi
Turn screw to the right (clockwise) to tension, ie- compensate the weight, which will bring the door up quicker and to the left (anticlockwise) to make it drop down harder.Greg

I’ve been called out a few times for this “fault”.
I.e. new intergrated dishwasher where the the decor door has not yet been fitted, with question “why won’t door stay down”Well done Wallofbeans for not running to the phone. 😀
