Bosch Dishwasher Error Codes

New on this forum and hoping that someone might be able to help.

We bought a new Bosch dishwasher in June this year, model No. SGH4HVX32G/01, a series 4 fully integrated machine. Within the last three weeks Error Code E31 has appeared twice. First time an engineer came out and replaced the heat pump but he seemed particularly vague when I asked what the problem had been, after he ‘fixed’ it. He did say that even he has to refer to the internet because Bosch keep changing the error codes and their meaning. In the process he also managed to break one of the appliance legs……as an aside. Have contacted Bosch direct and they switch between it being a door lock problem and a leak in the base of the machine. It’s not a door lock issue so I’m voting for the leak option. The engineer is coming back next week to have another look.

If it is a leak problem does anyone know where this leak might be coming from, ie any common sources, or is it something else entirely?

well at least you have a 2 year guarentee and if there is a problem you have plenty of time to find it

As it’s less than 6 months old and they have had a failed repair attempt you are quite within your rights to reject it and ask for your money back f you so wish.
