Hi there, i have a bosch sg15305gb/11 dishwasher which has just stopped working. When turned on none of the buttons will start machine, but they do light up to say they have been selected. The only one that does something is the intensive wash. When that one is pressed, the display shows Zero and it sounds like its trying to pump out water. (of course there isnt any to remove). Any ideas chaps??

    Thanks in advance

If ‘0’ has come up in the display and the machine is pumping out , this would indicate the ‘re-set’ function has been selected. However , this is normally only achieved by holding down two buttons at any one time. Therefore , the first thing i would do is check that none of the other buttons are stuck or wedged down

You may well be onto something there, just had another look and the 3rd button does not light up when pressed. But when the first, intensive button is pressed the 3rd buttons lamp illuminates and the display goes to zero and pumps out. None of the buttons appears stuck, and even the 3rd button clicks when pressed.
I take it just turning machine off would cancel the reset procedure? Perhaps the next step is to test the switches. i.e take cover off and check for voltage passing through open then closed switch? What do you think?
    Thanks for your fast reply!

we don’t condone live testing Mark…and it would make no difference anyway as the buttons are all part of a control module .

Its difficult to have a definite answer with your fault and as the control module is approx £120:00 , i wouldn’t like to say that the module is def at fault.

Once you get into the reset , you have to switch off the machine , open the door , close it and then press on. This should now be back to a point where you can select a cycle and start a new one.

You’ll need a closer look at the control module to see if there’s any damage there

Thanks for that, i wont be live testing, i’ll put on an ohms meter and test it. Thanks very much, i’ll report back my findings.
