I’ve got a Bosch SGS 6312 about 5 years old, and so far it’s never had any trouble.
Recently it’s started to fill up with murky water when it’s switched off, probably leaking back in from the waste pipe. Has anyone come across this before?
I’m guessing there’s a seal somewhere which is leaking, would be great if I could fix it myself, any suggestions?
Re: Bosch dishwasher fills with water while not in use
Simon,
Dirty water from the drain shouldn’t come back into your machine unless there are drain sharing problems? If your machine has its own independant drain outlet, then I guess the pump is not clearing the water in the first place.
If the drain is shared with the sink outlet for example, check that the dishwasher waste pipe is above the water level of the sink to prevent any chance of flow-back. Otherwise take a look at the pump and sump of your machine closely as advised in the user booklet!
