It’s quite worrying that after attending a few of these jobs in the past. Thankfully some of these repairs were too costly to put right and it became BER. Did them a favour in some respect.
going a bit OTT there twicknix, just the sort of hysteria that these sort of recalls prompt.
Bosch must love Beko though, all that national news their re call has prompted yet Bosch have gone completely under the radar, not even the merest hint! Me thinks the London fire brigade are responsible for promoting their one, no doubt one of the top brass there has a Beko product. 😉

From what I no very few, but above the minimum required by law to make the action necessary, I believe once 20 have failed bad enough, ie the damage has progressed past the original failed component onto another component (simple explanation I know) but not requiring third party intervention. Once that happens there required to contact Trading Standards,HSE etc etc and repair solution must be implemented FOC, with limited public info beyond National Press and Dealer Contact, there not going to mail every single person or repair every machine, that happens when it gets to Beko level of FCUK up.
They have a few appliances with issues, one is an US style F/F with a mod in case of fire, but no issues to date.
Zanussi I’m sure the CEO is first name terms with most of the authorities and govt, must be costing a fortune in out of court settlements, I’m sometimes tempted to modify one of there D/W, I can join 0800 guys in Barbados then. :rotfl:

I have a job this morning for the dishwasher. It was reported as a fault – being stuck at 3 mins fault. I checked out the model number but not the batch number, it looks like it is in line for recall.
The question is do I repair the 3 mins fault or leave it with Bosch?

I personally don’t believe the fault has anything to do with the module so I would at least go out and take a look and see. 😉

Hi Guys
My first time on the Forum
I was called out to a Neff S5943x2GB/24 intagrated dishwasher. The board had done the same thing so replaced and working fine.
I contacted BSH and was told that even though there is recalls on some models this one is not included!!!!!
Same fault so why not?Steve

Same fault so why not?Not necessarily the same fault. The official recall relates to a solder track issue identified on those specific models causing localised overheating. Modules fail for other reasons, module components overheat and catch fire too. In my experience I reckon often as not the burnt and charred ones I have replaced have often shown signs transformer overheating whilst others appear to fail at the point where the ribbon connector joins the power board. I don’t recall seeing issues that BSH suggest is the reason for their latest recall? 😕
In fact since the recall I’ve only attended to 2 dishwashers that are ‘on their list’ both having simple broken glass in the drain pump problems. But just for interest sake I have inspected the modules and they appear fine. Nevertheless I pointed out to each of my customers about the BSH recall. What they have done with that information since I have no idea. You can take a horse to water…..as they say….. 😉
