    Hi.
Because some of the Bosch dishwasher heat pumps are now getting very expensive I thought I would try to fit just the heating element which is now supplied by Connect.
Firstly it’s a right pain trying to separate the heater housing from the motor without damaging the retaining lugs.
Then you’ve got pull the element out of the body which is a very tight fit.
Then the fun begins, because it’s virtually impossible to locate the new element.
I’ve tried everything without any success,I’ve even tried refitted the old one but the tolerance is just too tight.
I’ve now given up and will be returning said item for a refund.
Any of you guys had any success with these elements?
    Cheers.
    Noel.

when you say locate do you mean get the connector in the correct position or get the heater to sit in the seals ?

not seen one of these yet have managed to repair a blown heater and refit it ( once) but only because it went right at the connector

    Hi Dave.
The issue is trying to push the heater into the housing.
It appears tolerance is just too tight.
Obviously when they are manufactured it’s lined up with a jig and pushed into place.
I do remember a few years ago when I had a HP with cracked heater housing I tried to fit the heater from that to a HP that the heater had failed.
    Again I had no joy.
