Participantthis Bosch Dishwasher is apparently 2yrs old but has no model number on it. It is freestanding 4 program. It fills up and up until it goes into overflow. i found a dirty float in the sump which looked like a magnet/sensor. I cleaned it as it was black and i restarted program and it filled up and motor kicked in. I had already checked for blockages but found that underneath it was pretty much a sealed unit with no signs of a pressure system. I checked the water maze and the only hose which goes to it was from the valve. Any answers please. many thanks, rob

Hi
If you open the door slightly and look along the top of the stainless steel, you will find the model number etched onto it.
Have moved you to trade section 😀Greg

Hi
If you remove filters and look at the 5 o clock position, there should be a removable round capping (1p size). Pop it off and remove the float (NOTE which way it came out as its imperative) Clean the travel and the float itself.
This a known suspect and there is IIRC a module p/no change which instead of relying on the float, actually does a timed fill therefore combatting the jamming float and flooding.Greg

…and check there is no condensation in the clear part of the float, if there is the float has a leak and will need replacing 😉

There is a modified mushroom float and pcb for the older plastic bottom dishwashers! The new version of the plastic bottom dishwasher has no magnetic float fitted.

If I understand Greg’s post correctly, the original module did not have a timed fill cut off. The new module does, so you’re supposed to change the mushroom and the board together.
Oi, Greg! What’s the numbers?
Chris.
