Fitted motor and seal kit as motor had seized, now water tank is leaking where the 3 black rubber seals meet the presure chamber.
I have tried refitting them and even putting silicon around the seals but every time i put on the water tank it leaks from one of the seals. The pressure tank is seated ok in the sump.
The tank has got quite alot of black residue inside it, just wondering if this could cause it to leak? any ideas BSH people?, dont want to remove chasis again to take out motor!

what do you mean by “tank” the container in the side panel? This machine doesnt have a pressure chamber as such but if the float/aquastop or the hose leading from that into the sump is blocked or restricted you will find it cannot pass the water through fast enough and backs up, leaking from the top of the float housing which may be running down onto the seals and make them appear they are leaking. TBH I dont mess about cleaning those floats anymore, just fit a new one.497570

Mark, why not clean them? I have cleaned hundreds and not one failure. Surely there’s not enough profit in supplying a new one to justify the cost to the customer.

I think the day I stuck a slotted screwdriver through my thumb trying to seperate the top from the bottom was the last straw and the black insert is very hard to get out also. The replacements are slightly different now anyway. Just have to carry 2 different types so any profit is still that, profit in my book. No compaints this end.
