11 years old apparently accordign to fd…

its the oblong push button 5 program exxcel model with a led timer display

was badly gunked up in waste hose, been cleared right thru, yet STILL buzzes like an error warning. no error code. just loud tap tap tap-ping. checked all thru sump and pump for blockages. also if you select a different program it will change the led time length, but still tapping/buzzing. also with every buss it seems the voltage drops as the led display dims significantly and comes back fine between the repetitive noise….

no noticeable burn outs or dry joints, but there is a large crack in the fascia over the control pcb, and chunk of plastic missing from the top panel… which does slightly worry me

tenant is adamant she wants a new one, and had problems with access as she wont let me spend more than 10-20 odd mins looking at it at any one time as theyre”very busy” yet she and he other female “housemate” wont allow me access without them there… im quite offended they think im a snooper, and landlords adamant they want it fixed up to price of about £180. i know if i dont fix it landlord will buy something like a haier elsewhere, cos hes properly tight, and will take ages to clear the call out…

any ideas? obv an e.r. no will be of use, but dont have it to hand as my notepad is in the van thats in for a service…

Only thing this suggests to me is heater (hence display dimming) relay on pcb, though I don’t think I’ve ever heard one do that. Relays on those are the usual 12v coil IIRC.
