On this machine when a program is selected the machine drains as normal the instead of filling with water the main wash pump kicks in. I think this could be a problem with the control module!! can any one confirm this?

    No worries Taff.

Pressure chamber microswitch may be the issue here. The machine thinks it’s full of water and the only way it would know that is once the pressure switch microswitch has been activated. Have you checked and cleaned out the pressure switch area and transfer pipe?

Yes done that and checked that the micro switch is working/ I even changed the chamber assy that has the over fill float in it.

I should check with the FD number if this model is part of the recall for the module.
