    I have a Bosch Dishwasher Model SRV43M03GB / 15

The dishwasher is a UK Model and is a slimline integrated unit Type number SD13J1B.

I noticed that the water would not drain from the dishwasher.

I have tried a number of things to resolve the fault without much success.

If somebody could source and supply me with a copy of the service manual I would be very grateful.

This is the list of things I have tried to resolve the problem.

    Approach Number One

Removed the internal plate and filter inside the dishwasher.
Cleaned the plate and filter and drained out as much water as possible to reveal what I think is the white plastic impeller.
Nothing appears to be jammed in this area, but without a manual I do not wish to strip it any further.
Replaced everything where I found it.
    NO change in the fault.

    Approach Number Two

Removed the dish washer waste pipe from under the sink and removed debris from the sink U bend and the end of the dish washer waste pipe.

When you fill the base of the dish washer with warm soapy water –then switch it on and close the door it does NOT drain.
You hear a low hum as if it were going to spring into life – but nothing happens.

After removing the left hand side cover of the dishwasher that reveals the water distribution unit / syphon and various water pipes.

There is a long thin vertically mounted red / pink plastic push rod.
When you manually move this up with the machines door closed or open the drain motor runs and all the water drains out of the machine through the dish washer waste pipe.
    So that is not blocked.

Without activating this “push rod” (not sure if that is the correct name) nothing happens.
So NO change in the fault.

    Approach Number Three

I noticed that the machine had water in the base in the machine.
I tilted it 45 degrees to the side and forward to remove most of the water.
Also turned the unit upside down.
Not sure that was a good idea but that is what I did.
    NO change in the fault.

    Approach Number Four

Noticed that the water distribution unit in the left hand side of the machine had some debris blocking some of the channels in the upper left hand side corner of the unit.
Removed the water distribution unit from the dishwasher.
Used Vinegar / warm water and bicarbonate of soda to remove some of this debris.
Then used Used Vinegar / warm water and soda crystals to remove some more of this debris.
Finally used some Mr Muscle sink unblocker gel to remove even more of the debris.
Rinsed the unit thoroughly and re installed I the dish washer.
It was not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} clear but this does not appear to be the cause of the issue.

    NO change in the fault.

    Approach Number Five

This Bosch Dishwasher Model SRV43M03GB / 15 is fitted with an Aqua stop water inlet valve.

On this slim line model it is connected to the end of the grey colured water inlet hose.
I used the isolating valve on the copper water pipe to turn off the water to the Aqua stop valve.
Then I disconnected the Aqua Stop valve and hose from the water pie.
I was just looking to see if this was blocked or the change in pressure would change the fault.
    No change in fault.
Not sure how to check if the valve is ok.

    Help Please;

I would appreciate a copy of the service / maintenance manual for the Bosch Dishwasher Model SRV43M03GB /15

Or any similar model so that I can have another attempt at repairing the dishwasher.

I think a safety switch or some other device stopping the unit kicking into life.
It has water in the distribution unit at the left hand side of the machine but the wash cycle does not start.
I had a look behind the front kick plate of the machine and under the cover at the right hand side of the machine to check for obvious blocked pipes etc.

No obvious cause of a fault that I could see but I am not experienced in repairing domestic appliances.

If anyone can offer some advice I am willing to listen to any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Good heavens! Your post is somewhere between an annoying rambling diatribe and War & Peace…… :rolls:

First off ….it doesn’t pump the water away and having waded through all of your scribings it appears that you missed one fundamental item……THE DRAIN PUMP!!!

Now in truth the drain pump on this model is a severe challenge for the uninitiated to access but I put it to you to make that your next move.

Sadly I must confess that no “service manual” is available for this model or indeed for public consumption. So you best take care and approach the problem from here on with a greater degree of caution. 😉

Do let us know the outcome but please …..keep it brief! 😀

    Good Afternoon,

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I was attempting to supply as much detail as possible to enable someone to conclude what the fault could be.
Your suggestion of replacing the drain pump costing approx £50 is appreciated and I will investigate that.

However in in my note marked Approach Number Two I indicated that when you activate the push rod manually the pum DOES drain the dishwasher.

I was thinking that something else may be stopping the pump working automatically.
A jammed or broken sensor of some description.
    Any thoughts on that.
Should I strip the pump out of the machine and inspect it?
    Would this help?
What is the best plan of attack for stripping this slim line machine down to the area where the pump is located?
    Any and all assistance appreciated.

    Thanks
    BoschBoy007.

Re: Bosch Dishwasher NOT Draining – Model SRV43M03GB / 15

As I said previously, check the pump first. Hard to access but necessary in order to ensure the pump chamber is completely clear and it’s Impellor not obstructed in any way. A sliver of broken glass, bone and such like can easily allow the pump to drain one minute and not the next. We in the trade every time we’re given the symptoms of ‘Not draining’ would check out the pump firstly as a matter of course.

Whilst you have the pump out do check that there is no sideways movement of the Impellor. If so then a new pump the only option as that indicates the bearing bush has worn causing the pump rotor to stick and the field windings to overheat. Hopefully it’s just debris in the chamber….fingers crossed eh? 😉
