Bosch Dishwasher not heating water

I have an integrated bosch dishwasher model no shv43a03/17. The water is not getting hot. Obviously I suspect the heater, can anyone give me clues to its location so I can get a meter across it to test it?

Does the machine have to pulled out of the units to access the heater?

Yes it does, but oh dear NOT a DIY job I’m afraid, rather technical and difficult to access and best left to us experts. Would recommend you try Repairs@ to call out an engineer in your part of the world to check it out. 😀

It may also not be the heater at all of course, a number of vital checks need to be established by an expert on site :tup:

I have located the heater unit and put a meter across the terminals it does read open circuit. Any other checks to recommend?

your right about the heater being in a tricky location and I think it’s time to call in some help.

Pop up your postcode Dai and I’ll check for you, although if repairs@ indicates that the guy from Barry covers your area then it won’t be a problem using him 😀
