Bosch dishwasher program starts, jumps to 0 minutes and dies

Hi I have checked the forum but can’t match this particular problem

Machines starts (usually… more often if cold) programs run for around 10 – 15 minutes, then “minutes left” jumps straight to 0.

Display and lights then black out completely. On pressing the on/off a clicking sound can be heard lights flicker but usually no signs of life. Sometimes it will restart or other times after waiting for a cool down – but just stops as described.

I read a thread about solenoids in doors… not sure if this is what’s clicking as it tries to latch… have tried giving the door a firm bang… but makes no real difference…

Water is grubby, dishes left gritty but then machine is not reaching rinse cycle…

preceding this, machine went through a few weeks of occasionally not stopping but then righted itself

Do you have any pointers
