This job has got me banging my head against the wall. Starts off it’s not letting in water, check inlet valve and it’s open circuit so nice simple job. Fit valve and as it starts to let in water after a while it starts spurting out the top of the plastic water matrix. After some head scratching i realise that the regeneration unit is all clogged up with hardened salt. So come back and fit new salt unit. Test it and it starts filling nicely with water, but it keeps filling and filling over the correct level until it overfills and operates the outlet pump and keeps filling and emptying a bit simultaneously. The wash pump doesn’t kick in but the check water light comes on. Tried new inlet water indicator but still same thing. So it says check water but keeps filling. I’m thinking the inlet valve might have done the board when it went open circuit although there are no visual signs on the board.
Any ideas please?Thanks

Overfilling will be the flow meter at the rear, fitted quite a few.

does this mean you changed the impellor jug between the valve and the air break? Most likely cause.

Hi, I changed the impeller jug and still same problem. Changed lots of these before and normally when it’s this it starts to fill but when the pc board receives no signal it shuts off water. This just keeps filling.

It wouldn’t just be that the microswitch on the float chamber is either faulty or the connector block to it is misplaced would it?
