My Bosch SMS50C12UK_WH dishwasher threw an E15 error code indicating that the safety switch has detected water in the base of the dishwasher.
I started taking it apart to see if I can fix it and could see an area of the base that appeared damp. I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2HlRbrqc70 and it appears an easy fix.
Firstly, can anyone help with what is the most likely cause? A perished seal? A cracked hose? I can order spares here: https://www.bosch-home.ie/supportdetail/product/SMS50C12UK/C2#/Tabs=section-spareparts/
My other issue is how to access the bottom? As you can see from the images it’s not looking very accessible, so I’m not sure how I’m going to replace a broken part. In the video the poster appears to gain easy access under the door. Maybe because his is integrated and mine is freestanding it’s more difficult for me.
I hooked it back up after a few days and it started to work (I’m guessing it dried out). I’ve run a rinse cycle and think there may be a small amount of water in the base, but it’s very difficult to see in.
Also whilst I have the side off I noticed what appears to be muck in the heat exchanger. Is this normal build up, or is it a problem? Also what id the red just above the arrow?
Thanks in advance.
