BOSCH dishwasher replacing sump seal SMV50E00GB/13

This dishwasher seems to be leaking from the sump seal, ( new sump and seal, part number 668102 ).

Its the newer style with the stainless steel drum that fits into the all plastic base.

I’ve taken loads of cases off the all stainless steel design but never attempted one on these machines.

Any tips on drum removal?, I assume its a pig of a job?, I’ve quoted a lot for the repair but they still want me to go ahead, 🙁

Did one of these a month or so ago, not too bad once the plastic base is off-
unhook door springs & bend out tabs on s/s tub to release base.
Remove heat pump , drain pump & Distributer & pipes
I did replace the Distributer as well as i was concerned about the old O ring not fitting- & it didn’t !
A bit daunting at first , think it took about 1.5 hrs, & no leaks afterwards, thankfully.
