Just so you are aware that Bosch have a recall on this model of dishwasher. If the fd number is between FD 7901 and FD8504 the customer needs to contact bosch on 0800 561 0082 to arrange for a replacement module to be fitted unless they have already done so?

Hi Geoff that fd was 8206.Customer says a bsh engineer called recently and did 10 mins work and put an R sticker on the appliance.Since then these problems have occurred.Noticed the auto wash cycle time comes up at 83 mins instead of 110-135 and the divertor valve is tempermental, sometimes top sometimes bottom never alternates. No evidence of module change, only a cut and shut wiring mod to the module connectors. What do you thinksteve

Sounds like the module needs configuring. Will let you know tomorrow if I have the info to do that on this model. He must have fitted a new module by the way….

Have a similar problem here, got one only feeding the top spray arm. Replaced heater and still the same. Customer NOW tells me Bosch has visited recently and replaced the module, Including the Sycasism (whatever) wiring mod as noted above and the problem has started since them. It has been coded to “20” and all the buttons seem to work in the correct position but the coding sheet I have got does not mention specific coding for the alternating valve. Have spent hours on this and got absolutly nowhere. Thinking of taking a L and N feed direct off the circ pump to the alternating valve motor as a possilbe solution. My one is a model SGI5342GB01 FD8111 and the correct module is 489607 but cannot confirm if this is the one Bosch, or whoever did the work, have fitted. Would be interested if you can dig up anyinfo on this one Martin.

i have a list of which module kit fits which models, if any one wants it just PM me a valid email address.
the Sycasism is the way the module sees the wash motor, the Sycasism can be switched on or off via the module configeration, the wiring mod is for the salt empty indicator
if the mod is not done the salt indication is disabled.Bob.

has the engineer done the wiring mod to the correct wires there should be only 1 wire cut and joined to an existing wire.

Just get them to call Bosch back. Its unlikely the mod was carried out by a Bosch engineer. With out a doubt has not been coded properly

heard back from this customer today, as I advised her, she re called Bosch who have since re attended, fitted the correct pcb, correctly coded to 27 and all is working well. Paid me for the heater but not the hours spent flaffing around!
warning then to anyone attending a Bosch/ neff dishwasher. If it has a round sticker with an R on it on the door side and it has a wierd fault, first check for correct coding and then check for correct module (not so easy). -
