bosch dishwasher sgs43a22gb/01 sumps floating sensor

Went to a bosch d/w since it was o/filling and had a look at the sliding float sensor in the front of the sump with an insert as part of the sump that covers this part to see if it is sticking-inconclusive!Thought best to order this float -part number 166880 via boche parts via electo part/connect,what arrived looks nothing much like original set-up.What arrived is a large`ish blue float sensor in a semi white plastic housing with a black detatchable top,this unit has two sets of lugs one top and one bottom,and is about 4″ long too long to fit anywhere in the sump-Question,am i going mad?Because no matter which way i try to fit this thing it cannot be done anywhere in the sump,Am i missing something?No instructions at all?Even if you were to discard the housing the sensor float is too big to fit in the sump moulding as per much smaller original,Not a clue from Adam,anyone got any ideas please?????Andy

166880 is the salt level device. Float assembly is 483487.

Thanks but looked up 483487 and this is the mushroom anti o/fill part not the part i`m after which is somewhat elusive depite a break down parts diagram via bosch web site-part i`m after is a sliding up and down with water level floating sensor one half is clear `other half is a grey colour and fits into the sump at the front-there is a plastic detatchable cover that is clipped into the sump over this float.any ideas as to the part number please as i cannot find this part listed which is kinda wierd.
