Participantgot a problem with said dishwasher if any bosch engineers could help with plz, original problem was tripped electrics and then buttons didnt work, engineer ordered module part no(489607) fitted it but didnt do conversion and blew it up lol, he has now left and now i get the call back to fit new module now this is where it gets good, looked at enclosed piece of paper 😯 and after my brain stopped hurtin i worked it out on the terminal block that has the brown wires u cut 5th wire and join it to 7th counting from edge of module done that then it says turn on or off sicasym (wot the hell is sicasym) so i turned it off (the only way to do this on that model is to have live module in ur hands while pushing on button considering last engineers attempt i was a tad nervous) put it back together and put it on rinse it said 55 mins in window plus 55/65 auto button you cant turn off, plus when it locks onto a programme you can still change it by buttons.
now have i connec ted the wrong wires or am i missing something else have checked the obvious , any help would be very gratefullJuly 17, 2007 at 1:36 pm #167828Martin

Oh dear, I’ve got the same module to replace on this model on Thursday 😥
smartin asked the question some 16 months ago and didn’t get an answer? 😯 😯 😯
Please Help! I’ve got the module and the distruction sheet telling me to chop off wire 5 lob it alongside wire 7 then configure the model to with or without a Sicasym circulating pump control?…Now is that the make of the circulating pump or something to do with the drain pump? 😕
Also, what is “of appliances up to Ki12” …….what’s Ki12 I wonder???

Ah! Now we’re getting somewhere :lesson:
Ki = (in German) Kategorie….(category)….very good
Thanks for that Paul, so, by that definition (right or wrong?) as the machine is /27 (in my case) then I don’t need to mess with it? Just swap like for like….maybe? 😕

Oh Blimey? 😕
Not exactly as the SGS4468GB/27 is not on your list…..???? 😯
What and where is a Sicasym by the way Greg? Does my customer in Newbury need to know? Shall I just bung this module in like for like anyway? My theory is that I don’t need to bother with snipping wires and configuring modules? But at the same time I don’t want to spend £77 with BSH and blow the ruddy thing up when I switch on!!!! 😥

Aha and theres the flaw.
Your dishwasher used to use module 482935 but was superseded, so when you do a search for 489607 it doesn’t show or for that matter any models that have had the part superceded :rolls:
As for Sicasym –Redflame wrote:As far as I’m aware the Sicasym makes the drain pump start & stop/pulse to eliminate air blocks in the side tank.

Well what do you know? The machines now playing up!…..Fitted the module last Friday and didn’t do any mods to it whatsover as we had sussed that on my machine cutting wires and fuffing around with the Sicasym whatnot wasn’t needed….? 😕
In fact since I fitted the module the machine has done several cycles with no probs (except) they have never been able to run it on the ‘Auto 50/60’ cycle. It will not have it, it cannot be selected and only the one next to it ‘Eco 50’ will work just fine. 🙁
Re-setting the programme still doesn’t allow the Auto programme to operate either, the light comes on but it defaults to Eco 50 each time. The Quick Wash 30 and the Presoak are fine and can be set or changed within the 60 secs of starting as per normal. All work fine except the Auto wash!
I called by this morning to take a look, the heater is fine, it fills and drains fine so no probs there. The problem I guess is that either there is no link from the module to the turbidity sensor, or the TB sensor is faulty or the flippin’ module is up the creek? 🙁
Without a wiring diagram I haven’t a clue where to go from here? Sure as hell I ain’t running to the expense of getting another module. So I have to harp back to this rubbish wiring conversion sheet that came with the module. I’m convinced that I don’t have to alter the wiring or worry over this seemingly non-existent Sicasym business….all very confusing stuff.
Can you guys help me out here I wonder? PLEASE? :hmm:
