ParticipantThe customer self diagnosed the fault himself, went out and ordered the drain valve with the intentions to carry out the repair himself. He realised that he did not have the relevant tools hence he called me.
He said it was showing e19 error code and googled this himself. I replaced the drain valve and switched on the dishwasher to check it working correctly. It started off the drain which is normal then a short burst of water fill then nothing happened. The clock was ticking away counting down and still nothing happens.
The Intensive and Eco wash showed up e19 but Auto wash doesn’t. I thought maybe the part is faulty so I replaced it with my new part and no change. The valve was warm to the touch which I thought it was odd. Then I proceeded to check on the right side of the dishwasher to check on the state of the wiring and I noticed it has a second heat exchanger. The drain valve was also warm to the touch, I thought would this drain valve be faulty and show up e19?
To be honest, I have not seen a second heat exchanger on a Bosch dishwasher, I enquired further with the customer, turns out that he had it for 3 years which explains why I have yet seen one. Can the second heat exchanger valve still throw up same error code? A tad pricier than the left heat exchanger at around £40 and has anyone attempted to change the valve?

Moderatorwhen the valves show this error its normally because the valve is open circuit as far as i know
also looking on bosch site second valve is £24.37 if your getting £40 that sounds steep
£15.87 plus V etc on Aswo

ParticipantThanks Dave,
The part number in question from ASWO is #5076819
This is the actuator for the second heat exchanger. Different from the usual one on the left side which is a plunger type. Both have different functions, this actuator is the same principle as found in detergent dispenser. I thought it was strange as both heat exchangers uses water and yet each one have different valves.
Do you think this actuator can still show up the same error code as e19 if it is not functioning correctly?

Moderatorshort answer is i dont know. if and when i get my first one i may remove the cable for the right hand one to see what it does
normally it will only show E19 if the coil is open as it has no sensors that i know of that can check operation
have you chacked coil and loom ?
