ParticipantHi, Customer complaining they get a shock from the dishwasher when they open it after a cycle? I’m assuming they mean a static shock. anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem? many thanks.

Get your Megger out on this one as its either shorting out or someone has disconnected the earth 😯

Or check extention lead. Had one from wickes with no earth connected a while back.

If it’s a static shock then the appliance is earthed ok (customer discharging themself on the cabinet). :lesson:

I have had 2/3 of these faults and each time it was a problem with the customers domestic wiring –
The socket would show 240v when switched on but no earth….switch the socket off and you would still get 110v showing at the actual socket itself – Thats where i would check first
