    Hi when I switched on my dishwasher nothing happened and the control panel did not light up. I momentarily heard a noise which normally happens when the machine first starts up but nothing after that. I have checked the fuse and plugged other appliances into the socket and they still work. Can anyone suggest what else I can test? The machines FD number is 8506. The machine is at least 7 years old. I was going to repair it via Bosch but I am not sure it is worth repairing considering I will be charged £95+parts. Thanks

    A local independent repairer can sort it far cheaper than that!

    I have never found local traders cheaper than the brand engineers. Recently I had a shower installed £75 from triton, at least double from local traders

    Ah then you must live in Knightsbridge or maybe Sandbanks, perhaps even a country pile in Cheshire?
