ParticipantI have a 2001 Bosch Hydrosensor dishwasher (slimline model) – SRS5602GB/05.
It has an intermittant fault – it gets part of the way through a cycle, and then gets stuck pumping water out.
All water gets pumped out, but the machine just keeps pumping and doesn’t move to the next part of the cycle.
I assume having had a look at the various posts it must be due to 7 years worth of crud in piping; can anyone tell me what I should be looking for – and whereabouts on the machine?

Difficult to give you an exact reply without the model number. It’s often etched into the top edge of the stainless steel door inner panel; you’ll need to catch the light against it to read it.
The drain pump will run continuously is the plastic tray under the machine has water in it. There is a float switch arrangement which, if activated, switches on the pump and over-rides the programme. Commonest cause of leaks is overflow from the fill system. You’re looking for this in the front l/h corner:

And this (or similar) under the l/h side panel.

Both fill with fat deposits and need stripping and cleaning. Other leaks are possible……..
Power off if you intend to do this yourself.

thanks.
I’ve now located the model number SRS5602GB/05 – and edited back into the original post. Is there any more specific information on this model?

Pretty much as described – be careful removing the metering tank. The back is a polythene type sheet and is easily penetrated.

have unplugged dishwasher.
Getting the left panel off is a problem. I’ve removed the Torx screws but it appears that I need to remove the worktop from the machine to get the panel off properly. How do I do this?

Lift the latches at the rear of the lid and give it a thump backwards.

Right:
the device with the pressure switch at the bottom is clear (more or less). The water matrix has crud in the top left hand corner.
I’m going to get a pro in the next time it fails. I’m anxious that I’m going to break something expensive.
I have pics which I will post.
