G’day all
probably a silly question? I have a bosch dishwasher that is not disolving the detergent tab, customer first reported that the “Spring” wasn’t working.
What she meant was the dispensor wasn’t throwing the tab into the cabinet!
the dispensor is opening at the right time and I have cleaned both spray arms. I have seen both spray arms operating and thought all was well.
Just got a call this morning to say that the tablet is still in the machine without having disolved.
Am I missing something obvious? 😳

As a follow up…….I just thought that I would check the heater and that apears to be working 😮

Has it got a short corrugated hose at the front, situated from left to centre in the base of the machine, this gets blocked up, resulting in not enough water 🙁

Brian.I know you said that you cleaned the spray arms and that they were working but did you see the top spray arm actually spinning ? I’ve had the odd occasion where i’ve thought i’d cleaned out the spray arm , only for a hidden ‘gem’ to get pushed back into one of the jets on first use .

I have asked customer to test empty and she says same results. I definately saw top arm rotating – it showered me when I opened the door a little!
Will have to check for that small hose Brian. Many thanks for all responses so far.

Ok, most probable is that the water diverter on the heater assembly has failed and possibly taken the module with it. Depending on what sort of engineer you are, you will be able to deduce which, if both you require. 😕

I’ve just reckoned it up you know? I started in the trade back in 1966 fixing small appliances, Hoover 119’s and Hoovermatics…..41 years ago…bl**dy hell!

had these same symptoms last week. believe it or not, it was as simple as a lemon fresh thingy dangling in front of the soap box. moved it to back of basket and cured it. i wouldn’t have believed it, but it’s true.

keithbsh enginneer hear first post watch for this fault guys have come across 3 of these recently all due to air freshener,also watch out for knive tray at top basket if not clipped exactley where it should be can cause door and leaking problems
