    hi,
i called oout to look at this dishwasher today the timer will not move on anywhere, unfortunately the label with the model number on it has been removed.
the timer says EC4890.01A on it, EMW dont do it.
does anyone know what the bosch part number for this timer is please or tell me where else on the machine the model number would be i have looked under the lid down the back all round the edges of the door, underneath no joy.
    thanks.

It is often engraved along the top inner edge of the door, very difficult to see sometimes, you just have to get it at the right angle.

No – all “pre-engraved” timers were AKO. Engraved doors came in with the plastic base, as did the Eaton timer – the common one was the EC4750. Given that your timer has a higher number, it must be later. I can find no reference to it anywhere. The very late machines have a white plastic label down the right hand edge of the door; if it isn’t there, you’re in trouble if the customer has no purchase records.

Sounds like the timer motor drive cog has slipped down the shaft then? Tapping it back on could sort it or simply change the motor, no need for a timer in that case. 😉
