    Hi there,

I have a Bosch Classsixx dishwasher model number SRS43C22GB/04

Everything appears to work fine, except when I try to start a cycle I have problems. The light always goes to active but then generally nothing happens. Usually it will start up after anywhere between a few minutes and several hours, sometimes it won’t go on at all until I reset and try my luck again, and very occasionally it starts immediately. Once it does decide to start it functions as it should.

Any ideas? I presume it’s something in the control panel rather than a motor etc?

Very grateful for any advice 🙂

    Many thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,

Im thinking either could be door interlock related ( uncommon on bosch to be fair) or either something jamming the drain pump. First thing any dishwasher does is pump out.

    Hi,

Many thanks for your reply. I’ve done some investigating this morning. There was a small blockage in the passage to the impeller on the drain pump which I’ve cleared but that’s not made a difference. Like I said, when it does start up it acts normally and I don’t have any problems with water not draining.

What I have noticed is that the control dial is out of alignment: unfortunately there’s no display on the machine so the only way I can test the dial is to turn it to reset so that three lights flash red. What I’ve found is that the mark on the dial doesn’t line up, I.e. the reset function was activated when the dial was pointing at the full cycle option. This suggests to me that maybe there’s a problem in there? I’ve seen a full replacement control panel on eBay for about £40, does this seem like a sensible move to just replace the lot?

Thanks again for your help 🙂
