    Hi all

We’re after a new integrated dishwasher for the current Zanussi which is dying a death, and we’re considering Bosch as a mid-priced replacement. I’m not quite sure on the differences between the Bosch models – A read of the forum suggests that the serie 4 is a better bet due to stainless interior, but John Lewis offer 3 different models in both serie 2 and serie 4 so even within the serie 4 it’s not clear which is best bet. Is there any substantive difference between the models that I should be concerned by? Is the extra £200 for serie 2 worth the extra over the entry level serie 2 – which I’d assume is a rebadged generic, but no idea if the serie 4 is also a rebadge?

Appreciate that there’s no clear and obvious way to go, but any advice on which to consider and which to avoid would be appreciated – we’re likely to buy from John Lewis as we have a few vouchers to spend, and also as they can fit and recycle for us. Happy to look at alternate brands. We’re a house with two infants so will be used pretty much on daily basis, and the zanussi is failing to fully clean which is the reason for the replacement (not enough hours in the day to re-wash everything!). I’m after reliability and economy rather than fancy feature, and although quiet would be nice it’s not that important – it’s in a busy kitchen and house is not open plan.

    All advice gratefully received.

The differences on the series 4 are very subtle, if you go on the Bosch website you can compare the different models side by side. You should be able from that to come to your preffered machine.

Many thanks Don, I’ll take a look.

I note the Neff N50 seems to be a little bit cheaper than the Bosch rough equivalent, I’ll take a look at those too. The siemens IQ100 is a little more expensive, seems to be as it has wifi which I can’t imagine needing.
