Today I went to turn the lower oven of my Bosh double oven on to find that it won’t work – the fan, oven element and grill element are all refusing to do anything. The top one and clock etc are fine.

I see that there is just one switch to power the whole unit but didn’t know if there are separate fuses / trips inside that might be causing problems? The only reason I can think that this might have occurred is that the electricity board cut off the mains power today and then switched it back on again. Perhaps a power spike tripped something?

Any help would be most appreciated!

    i think you mean HBN455BGB/01

    correct???

unless selector has gone up the creek, it does sound like maybe child lock is on or auto-cook mode has been selected though…

    Indeed – HBN455BGB/01 – thanks!

I wasn’t aware there was a child safety mode to be honest – any ideas how I would de-activate it? I’ll have to try to find the instructions re the auto cook mode as I’ve never used it…

As for the selector, any idea how I’d test / eliminate it to find out if it’s the problem?

    Thanks for the reply 😀

Have you set the clock ? The main oven won’t work unless the clock is set and not flashing digits
