ParticipantHi, I have a Bosch Exxcl 7 that comes up with error code E18.
I have followed Bosch’s online help, take out trap at front etc but I still have an intermittent draining problem.
I have even looked to see if the impella is spinning on drain (it is)
I have just tried it on a 15 min wash & came up E18, tried the Drain programme a few times & its drained fine.Any ideas?
Cheers for any help

Hi,
When it does actually drain it seems fine, when its not it sounds like a muted grumble/moan (hard to describe)Cheers

Moderatoryou can get intermittent drain problem with blockages. I have had coins up hoses where they act like a valve depending on their orientation. if the hose has been extended check where it joins
if the groan you describe comes from the pump may be a worn bearing
how old is it ?

ParticipantHi,
OK I think the pump (bearings) might have gone. I’ve checked the drain hose & all seems OK.
I’ve un done it from the waste pipe & put it in a large saucepan, while in the pan it empties really well, but if i left it up (to worktop height) then it struggles & not much happens (apert from a noise that sounds like its struggling)
I could record a quick video it thats needed.
Cheers

For orders under £9.99, delivery is £2.99. For orders between £10.00 to £29.99, delivery is £4.95. For orders over £30, delivery is free. For orders which include a small appliance, delivery is free.
I believe the quote in bold applies. Taken from here: https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/00145212
