ParticipantHi

Hi Lawrence
Yes there is a diverter valve, now for the bad news…….. it come as part of the instantaneous water heater p/no 483058. From past experience they seem to weep from “o” ring of heater to sump, damaging the unit and in some rare cases blowing part of the PCB that drives that unit.Regards
Greg

Mark’ll tell you to take the cavity off the base; I do it by turning the machine upside down and take the base off the cavity. 😀

Hi Lawrence
This is a guide and you will probably find your own method, but this is the recommended way 🙂Unscrew outside door, base panel, angle strip and side panels. Disengage the tension cords from the hinge levers. Unscrew the screws which connect the base pan to the hinge plates. Unscrew the rinsing tank from the rear panel of the base pan. Disconnect the door cable harness from the plug-and-socket connection in the base pan. Place the appliance on its back, carefully remove the base pan and loosen the catch between the level sensor housing and the water softening system. Disconnect the circulation pump with the rubber support from the base pan. Open the base pan until the instantaneous water heater can be screwed off the pump sump. Unscrew the instantaneous water heater. Release the catch on the pump sump and lever the instantaneous water heater off the plug-and-socket connections of the pump sump / circulation pump.
Good luck

Well did it tonight , what a job thanks Greg I owe you ,Took me 1 & 1/2 hours from first screw to last screw .only managed to confuse myself putting the cord guides back on but got there .
All in a kitchen that was no more than 1/2 the width again of the D/W .
Still all good experience ,Incidentally this is the same D/W that had a smell of burning and there is a lot of burning around the connections to the motor area so I wonder if that was it ?
Anyway job done cust happy and thats what counts
Once again thanks chaps

The next time will be easier trust me 😉 you know whats coming now.
The newer appliances are easier as they have a sheet steel removable base for easy access (2x torx20 screws) 😀Greg

Yep, I hate slimlines and what you called them is about right but a nice edit from me made it just acceptable 😉

I thought it was, it is now 😉 😆
It’s a pain when a censored word forms part of another though, no way round it so Arsenal is now allowed again just for the footy fans but please don’t abuse it 😯
Dave.
