Hi a customer has phoned me saying she has put detergent in the salt container, does this damage the regeneration salts in there? i have heard of things like table salt doing them in. I am also wondering if they are ok how i can clean it out, has anyone come across this before? Thanks Peter 🙂

Peter, Shouldn’t cause any lasting damage if the detergent is flushed out ASAP. Take salt cap off and flush loads of boiling water into the salt container so it overflows into the sump. Pump out and repeat till it’s empty, then refill with salt. Takes a while but it should be OK after.Had to do this a few times over the years. Wiz

Or just make it into a solution by adding water & use a wet / dry cleaner to suck it out.
